We visited this place twice during our three-day stay in Vancouver. This restaurant offers absolutely amazing quality of service as well as food being served. Elegant, healthy and extremely comfortable.
Its part of the Wedgewood Hotel which meant, for us, a large party of hotel patrons the next table having a very casual, noisy dinner with their young children.
There was also live piano which was very nice except we were sitting too close to the piano and it was a bit too loud. The menu is a bit limited, but that's not a bad thing.
It may be a bit noisy in some areas of the restaurant, but the most attentive staff will try and find a more quiet table for you. (They certainly did it for me last weekend and it was much appreciated.)
The braised short rib/ tenderloin dish was amazing, we never knew beef could be so tender- no need for a knife. The salmon with scallop and prawn equally wonderful- even the garnish was great. I would have licked the plate if it weren't rude.
On another day, we had a drink in the Bacchus bar, which was delightful, with our server Elana being welcoming and attentive.
This is an excellent restaurant. Everything that I have tried was of the highest quality regarding the ingredients used, involved skillful techniques and a very high standard of culinary artistry and imagination. -

This is our second visit here. We stayed at the hotel and just LOVE that part as well as the lounge and restaurant decor but...the food is very forgettable as before.
Jole was our server and he was fantastic as all the staff are throughout the hotel. But the food...I ordered the beef tenderloin and there could not have been any more then 3 oz of product on my plate for (see pix) $48. I ordered a side of green beans for $9 and received maybe three or four beans. My appetizer was scallops and shrimp tartare...the chef should be fired.
My wife had the borscht to start...all show no go...for dinner she selected the risotto which tasted pleasant.
$230 later we felt cheated and hungry. We aren't rich but we do okay and I fully expect to pay premium prices for premium service and food...everything but the food was premium.
We will return for the stay but NEVER AGAIN will we eat here. -

Made reservations for myself, my husband, brother, and mother as celebratory last dinner of vacation in Vancouver. We had a really nice table in the back in a slightly raised area. half of the table was comfy booth seating and the other side had chairs. Both the booth and chairs were swanky and plush. They made to sure offer a pillow for my mother's back to allow her to sit more comfortably in her chair.
Our waiter was helpful when we asked questions about the menu and careful to ask about any dietary restrictions. He gave good advice/information when my mother and I were selecting our meals and a dessert wine. The halibut was perfectly prepared as was the Beef Tenderloin & 12 Hour Braised Short Rib. They were both phenomenal- succulent and tender! For dessert, the sorbet was refreshing and I tried their sticky toffee pudding. It wasn't traditional sticky toffee pudding that one would see in the UK, but it was still good. Just needed more toffee sauce!
We had a lovely, nicely paced dinner that made for great memories from our last night in Vancouver. Best of all, it was just a few blocks from where we were staying which had a parking garage so if you're worried about parking, park at Paramount Place garage and walk over. I believe they also offer valet parking as well. -

Nice little spot for brunch. The seating is cozy and comfortable. Fresh flowers on the tables was a plus. The servers were attentive and helpful. Overall a very nice visit. We also enjoyed live piano music at the lounge in the evening. Very nice!

Continuing a brisk stroll around the city, having come from Stanley Park, to drop in for another drink.
David was in sweatpants. This bar is fancy. Top Notch decorations. We sat at the bar and tried to be inconspicuous. Unfortunately we were high as kites.
That didn't prevent Jason from treating us with the utmost professional respect. As I gathered my thoughts into coherence he led me to the scotch I wanted. I felt impressed asking for rocks on the side... yes, I've done this before... once before, maybe. He one-upped me with "small rocks or big rocks?" Well played, sir. Well played.
Looking at the photos the food at this spot looks worthy of a second visit. When I'm wearing a jacket. and shoes.
